EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
My path to exploring diverse knowledge
Growing up as a young child in Nigeria, I was introduced to the world of education by my parents, they instilled in me the importance of education. In spite of life’s struggles and uncertainties, I knew that education was a path I was going to explore to the peak. I grew up with books and I knew the world through books, I understood cultures, countries, ways of life, and how to become a global citizen through books. I became intellectually intoxicated by exploring the minds of noteworthy writers. As a young child with no or miniaturised access to television, I fell in love with books. Given all this, I presume that you would be able to grasp my love for education through my various exploration of diverse educational experiences.

In fulfilment of the requirement for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, I undertook several core modules which formed the basis of my knowledge in computing, examples of some of the core modules include;
-
Computer application in Chemical Engineering: This module involved the use of various software packages in mathematical modelling (MATLAB, Simulink), process simulation (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
-
Process design: This module centred on the feasibility of constructing a chemical plant for the production of 750 tonnes per annum of Potassium Hydrogen Tartrate from Oenological waste (wine lees). The project entailed using Aspen-HYSYS for modelling chemical processes from unit operations to the full, integrated operation of chemical plants.
-
Research Project: My thesis topic hinged on the study ofthe adsorption of heavy metals using sawdust as a low-cost adsorbent
-
Industrial training scheme: Undertook industrial training from Year 1 - Year 5
